The Sumter County Fair Association is a not-for-profit Florida corporation with a mission to be a successful nonprofit organization that operates the state-of-the-art fairgrounds with pride and dedication while creating a bridge between our growing county's local businesses, youth development, and community events.
Sumter County Youth Livestock Programs provide real-life, educational opportunities for our youth who want to experience producing quality livestock for today's discriminating consumers. Our programs offer an opportunity to local youth in our community who would otherwise not have the means, knowledge, or resources to participate. These programs enrich and enhance their lives and instill the necessary life skills of responsibility, fairness, respect, caring, and citizenship that are important in today's world. Our youth Livestock Programs are built on the foundation of building character. Local FFA and 4-H youth livestock projects enter the annual Fair, including swine, lamb, cattle, poultry, and rabbits. The Sumter County Fair Association has given millions in premium cash awards to the youth in our local community.
Sumter County youth is not limited to livestock only they can participate in many different competitive events during our weeklong county fair. Over the years we have held a variety of diverse events including talent shows, dog shows, fine arts, horticulture exhibits, and many more. The Sumter Fair Association manages the fair grounds year around and is excited to work with you to help plan your next event location. Don't forget to check out the many different spaces to host your events. We have a huge covered outdoor arena for livestock shows, rodeos, equine events, and more. There is also various rooms for your corporate meetings, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, and seminars. If we haven't listed an example of your event reach out and we can make it happen.
